The Monte Cristo

One of the perks about living in Orange County is that I am 20 minutes away from Disneyland.  I have loved Disneyland since I was four months old and I still love it now as I am approaching 25.  One of mine and Brett's favorite meals is at Cafe Orleans.  They have amazing garlic fries and the best Monte Cristo.  Their Monte Cristo is fried in a light batter and served with berry puree dusted with powdered sugar (Writing this makes my mouth water).  What a perfect date night meal!

The Cone of Shame

Sparky is six months now and Brett and I love him so much.  He keeps us company and makes us laugh. Let's just say both Brett and I dreaded the day we would need to get him fixed.  He's such a beautiful cat and would definitely have a beautiful posterity, but we didn't want him to spray and it's just not possible to have another cat.  Well, today was the day Sparky had his little operation.  Everything went well and he is a healthy kitty.  I feel bad for my poor kitty because he is most likely sore and has to wear the "cone of shame."  Luckily, that hasn't deterred him from being his playful self!

Mini Vacation to the St. Regis

Last Wednesday through Friday, Brett and I had the privilege to stay at the St. Regis in Monarch Beach.  Brett's work (Avery Dennison) every year does a charity event with the City of Hope.  I have been wanting to go to this  for two years, and now that we are married, I finally had the opportunity.  While Brett was at meetings with suppliers and eating fancy feasts, I chilled at this 5 Star/5 Diamond resort.  I worked out, laid by the pool, went for some walks, hung out in the room, and went to find places to eat (like Cafe Rio).  It felt good to just relax (something I'm not too good at) and not worry about my stresses.

On the last night, I was lucky to go to the dinner with Brett where they have the big raffle with some great prizes.  Brett and I came out big winners when we won two airline tickets to anywhere in the U.S., Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, and Central America.  Let's just say that Brett and I are definitely thinking about where we want to go after we go to London in a few weeks.  This was a great mini vacation!
