London Day 2 April 8, 2012 Happy 1st Anniversary

What could be better than celebrating your first anniversary in London?!  For Brett and I, this was seriously one anniversary we would certainly never forget.  And seriously, has it already been a year since Brett and I were married in the San Diego Temple?!  Holy Moly, but time does fly by!
On the morning of our anniversary, Brett and I both woke up at 3:30 a.m. because we were starving and obviously couldn't sleep because it was 7:30 p.m. in the States.  We left the flat around 7 and began our day.

London Day 1 April 7, 2012

Brett and I arrived that Saturday morning at Heathrow Airport in London at 11:15 with only about two hours of sleep.  Sleep didn't matter because we were excited to be in London for the week celebrating our one year anniversary.  We got our luggage and took a 90 minute tube (metro) ride and then caught a double decker bus to our stop, and then walked up a hill to the Hart's place.  The Hart's are our good friends who are doing an expatriate opportunity in London. They were in Switzerland for the holiday weekend, but had left their key with a neighbor for us to get in.  After getting situated, taking a shower, and eating some cereal we decided to push through the jet lag and start the exploration of the city.

As you can see we did pretty good on our first day in London.  We may have only had a couple hours of sleep on the plane, but we were successful in executing our plan!  :)  It made going to bed that night very fulfilling!

Back from London

Brett and I made it back safely from London last night and had a great time.  It was a great way to celebrate our one year anniversary.  We are so grateful for The Hart's for taking us into their home for the week.  They were so good to us and we loved spending time with them.  When I have finally recovered from the jet lag, I will obviously post about this fabulous trip.  Stay tuned until then!  Cheers!

Mama Cat

The above picture was taken last Tuesday after I had been gone for about six hours.  Am I mama cat or what?!  This kitty just loves me!  I'll admit that I am nervous about leaving Sparky with my in-laws for nine days.  He's going to be upset with Brett and I for going to London.  I love Sparky!

The Monte Cristo

One of the perks about living in Orange County is that I am 20 minutes away from Disneyland.  I have loved Disneyland since I was four months old and I still love it now as I am approaching 25.  One of mine and Brett's favorite meals is at Cafe Orleans.  They have amazing garlic fries and the best Monte Cristo.  Their Monte Cristo is fried in a light batter and served with berry puree dusted with powdered sugar (Writing this makes my mouth water).  What a perfect date night meal!
